FROM THE INVENTOR OF SUPER SNEAKY HINGES
After graduating from college in art & design, I took the first job open and started learning the garage door installation business from the ground up.
This meant contending with low overhead installations, using double track systems, Quick Flex & Quick Turn brackets and the like; poorly designed installation hardware to say the least, not overly effective, and in some cases simply dangerous.
There had to be a better way. But there wasn’t. So, I tackled the problem myself and SUPER SNEAKY low overhead brackets were born. It was a challenge because the new hinges had to have certain capabilities:
- Fit a standard lift door & operator into 6″ of headroom – even lower in special circumstances – without major modifications.
- Utilize a 15″ curve radius horizontal for maximum smoothness while working on a 12″ curve radius.
- Accommodate all door panel sizes, designs, and materials, using no springs or adjustments, while being self positioning and absolutely installation friendly.
- SUPER SNEAKY low overhead hinges had to be user friendly for the DIY homeowner & profitable for the professional dealer installer – who can now take low overhead jobs he would otherwise have turned down.
