We have three installers here that between them have over 30 years experience, and at first, none of them thought we could pull this off.The people in question were getting an addition to their house with a garage underneath.
The engineer really messed up; the original opening was 11' 9" x 7' 6" with no header and almost nothing for side-room
We were considering double track/double radius with rear-mount springs
but that posed too many problems.
Once the final cement was poured the opening was reduced
to 11' 9" x 7' 4".
Their truck is 6' 2" high and we were concerned about that. We calculated the opening had to be 6' 9" which would give enough room for the truck to clear due to the arc of the approach, which left us with 7" for head-room.I did a search on the internet for low-headroom systems
and the Super-Sneaky site was on the list.
We decided to give your product a try-out.
One of our installers built the header, put on flashing and extended the
jambs so we could put in a 11' x 6' 9" door.
OK, our first try with the Super-Sneaky brackets....
