Shawn When I first heard about the Super Sneaky low headroom system I was quite sceptical about the ability to install an overhead door with front-mount torsion springs in 6” of headroom with an opener. We do a lot of low headroom installations and are quite experienced with the various low headroom kits available. We ordered 10 pairs to try out and have been very impressed.
We just finished an installation of a 1-3/4” thick insulated steel door and opener in 6” of headroom. The door runs smoothly and quietly and we feel we could have even gone a little lower in headroom. We’ve also installed Super Sneaky’s on 2-1/2” thick cedar Carriage House Doors. I’m impressed not only with the ability to install in less headroom than other systems, but also with how smooth the doors run. It operates much smoother than other hinge style low headroom systems we tried but discontinued using in the past. The small size of the packaging makes it very convenient to always have a few pair on your trucks. I would highly recommend the Super Sneaky low headroom system. The Operator Bracket is also worth having on hand for the extreme low headroom situations where there isn’t room to mount the operator to the header.

Thank you, I finally got my garage door installed by OnTrack and am very happy with it. There is plenty of headroom above the door for my canoe and the door seals up much better than my old skin-splitter door. Thanks very much for your help in making this happen. The only thing I have noticed is that the top section of the door falls back onto the brackets when the door is opening. Can I put a thin rubber bumper or something in there to soften the blow?

Take care HELLO SUPER SNEAKY'S, Just a quick note to tell you that your brackets worked perfectly for my self installed garage door. I only had an 8 inch clearance between the opener rail and the top of the door. The original wood door weighed close to 400lbs,and when I installed the opener years ago I had to notch out a 2 inch section off the top, and I wasn't going to do that with my new steel one. Now the new door with the Super Sneaky Brackets actually give me an extra 2 inches of space between the door and the opener rail. The only thing I recommend is a self sticking rubber strip along the top of the inside of the brackets to quiet the clank when the door opens. And it works. It worked out GREAT for the low headroom situation I had in a local boat house. I think the Super Sneaky brackets are a very good product and I am confident I will be using them in the future.
