I’ve been a professional door installer,and now a low headroom installer, for more years than I can remember and believe that I’m quite typical in that a lot of my business comes from other companies. I install and do service work for all different types of companies, who are professionals in their trades, but generally don’t know a lot about garage doors, that’s why they hire me as their sub-contractor.Super Sneaky Brackets came about primarily to solve my own problems. For myself anyways, it just isn’t practical for me to go and check out each and every job before hand, especially if it’s out of town. The way I look at it, if I’m not physically on a job installing, then I’m costing my company money, instead of making it money. Because I’m an installer, that’s what I do and that’s what I’m good at. I started out in 1999 trying to come up with a simple solution to solve all the
low headroom problems
I kept running into. My constant thought was
" THERE JUST HAS TO BE A BETTER SOLUTION!". So I kept experimenting with different ideas. I made prototypes and tried them out in different situations. I used my own garage over and over. I had to come up with something that would work with all operators and doors in tight situations. It had to be tough. It had to be simple. It had to be a stand alone product with nothing extra to buy. And it also had to be something that the actual installer that has to go and do that job would LOVE. The Super Sneaky's (as we like to call them) that you see here on this site is the final product of much research. It has been installed in the field for low headroom problems all over the world. They work on commercial applications just as easily.
