1. Our low headroom top brackets can save hundreds, if not thousands of dollars in the cost of construction and materials of a new garage. It’s really quite simple, new construction cost’s X no. of dollars per square foot, depending on how elaborate the customer chooses to make it. Sectional doors today require approximately 14- 17" of headspace to accommodate the door and automatic operator, therefore we may conclude that if you reduce the amount of headroom required, you lower your cost per square foot, without cutting corners or skimping on building materials. Our product allows a standard door and operator to be installed in only 6" of head space.

    2. People have a love affair with their S.U.V’s and many vehicles are just plain taller in height now a day’s. Wouldn’t it be better to have a 7’6" or even 8’ garage door, where in the past you could only accommodate a 7’ door? This benefit will even save you more money, because the out side space above the door must be finished some how. Consider how much it may cost for extra framing, dry wall, insulation, sheeting, vapor barrier, fasteners, paint, caulking, brick, a steel lentil and labour, just to finish this space off. A larger sized door reduces this space considerably and is easily finished off by the aluminum siding person.

    3. From an aesthetic point of view, a taller sized door closer to the soffit, just looks more pleasing to the eye. It looks proper and appears more balanced in relation to the house, this is a very popular design element in Europe.

    4. Availability is no problem at all. We only manufacture our low headroom bracket, you don’t have to change too another brand of door or switch installation companies. Our product is quite universal and very simply converts your existing standard door system to a low headroom installation. Just put us in touch with the door company that does your installations, and we can ship our product directly to their place of business, anywhere in the world.

    5. Safety is perhaps our greatest selling feature. The current industry standard for low headroom installation is the double track system. It places the lifting cable, which is under tremendous tension on the outside of the track, which creates two dangerous situations. First off, there is nothing to prevent a sling shot effect, should a cable break or bottom bracket let loose. Secondly, entrapment of a child or pet could occur, between the cable and bottom door section when an automatic operator is used. Our brackets are so sensitive that your door, will safety reverse on a one inch piece of styrophome no matter if the force adjustment accidentally gets turned up. This is because energy from the operator is re-directed from downward crushing power, safely to a jamming action of the top panel section.

I hope you find this information insightful and eye opening. Perhaps you may have some additional questions or require specifications on finished ceiling heights, at any rate please don’t hesitate to get it touch with us.

    Thank you,
    Robert Armes
